Nuclear Disaster?

I had almost made a post about this last night when the second explosion went off and the threat of a full nuclear meltdown was high, but I didn't. So I may as well make it now.

Japan is now in extremely serious threat levels of a nuclear disaster. Just 2 hours ago there was a Third explosion at the power plant, and the nuclear core was completely exposed (now covered). A vast amount of radiation was released and it is expected that the Japanese people will now be evacuated even further from the already evacuated 12 mile radius.

With the core now partially melted already, if it happens again, all hell will break loose.

The effect of such a disaster will be the complete evacuation of 2/4's of Japan, or possibly the entire island. Radioactive rain and clouds will make their way across sea to North America which will produce dramatic effects of headaches and nausea for a long period of time. Cancer will also be expected to flourish, say 50 or so years after the incident.

So let's all hope that shit does Not hit the fan, yes? Stand strong for Japan, pray for Japan.

Request.

I have a simple request for those in the community, I need some help tracking down a certain player.

This is now the third new replica of my onevia that I have seen in the last week.

If anybody knows who is creating these replica's, please inform me either here on Chatbox, or over MSN.

...makes me wonder if these people even know what DMCC is.

Two of A. Kuroi's last runs in D1

A different angle of Kuroi's last runs in D1. This is in the 2009 D1GP, right before he blew his engine on the third run and was forced out of the competition. He would never return to D1 in 2010, as he passed away before the competition was able to start.

You can see in this second video how he received too high of an angle for the follower (Kawabata) to be able to maintain his drift! Reminds me slightly of a katana chopping down on something. Kuroi knew the ways of the Samurai.

Japan's 8.9 Earthquake

I first heard that an earthquake / tsunami had hit Japan at about 1 AM last night (GMT -7), but by the sounds of the people who had video's up in the first 5 minutes, it wasn't going to be that bad.

Well, this morning my brother awoke me to give me some details about what's going on and I must say, holy shit.

The tsunami has spread quite far inland, which has almost completely annihilated the towns / cities surrounding the ocean. Internet and mobile phone service is down in many parts of the country, so we may not hear from our Japanese players for a while. A whirlpool formed off the coast due to a massive crack in the earths crust. A reported 14 industrial factories (oil, gas) are receiving major damage and have...well, exploded. A nuclear power plant is in danger of blowing, if so, it would be 6x the effect of the Chernobyl incident.

Some crazy shit, so we hope everyone is all right!

What were your?

A fun post, share your choices on the shoutbox!

What were your ALL TIME top 2 favorite cars in the D1GP Series?

For me, it would have to be from the 2005 D1GP Series, where Youichi Imamura drove his famous Apexi RX-7 FD3S, and Yasuyuki Kazama drove his also-famous green Keioffice Silvia S15.

These cars were extremely iconic when the D1GP series became famous worldwide, and paved the way for enthusiasts and tuners slowly coming into Drift. Aside from being famous, both cars look extremely sexy and were top of the line, and probably still are. Backed by awesome skill from both drivers.
