Following the previous post, I've begun re-creating the [SDU] Server Blog. The link has changed, so don't bother with the sidebar link anymore.

Updates
News!
-SDU Server:
I've built up my boredom, and am now deciding to go full out working on the server in my free time. Typically I am splitting my time between working on the Racetrack (Check Modding Area), working on the server, and working on my car; however my car is now at a point where it can stay untouched for a while, and the map is almost finished! The only major thing left to do with the map is texture it, after that it can be thrown in-game and released.
Expect the [SDU] Server to be in a running Beta stage by next month.

Blue Scholars - Cinemetropolis
Just got word of this: The Blue Scholars, a great hip-hop duo from Seattle, Washington, U.S.A., just released their new album entitled "Cinemetropolis".
Featured on this album are completely original songs created by the scholars, featuring many underground hip-hop artists in collaboration.
For the people who've visited this blog regularly would probably notice the many posts I put up with single Blue Scholar songs, just to share the great tunes, and now here's an entire new set!
Click Here!
Please do not pirate or steal this album, the Blue Scholars are a home-grown hip-hop duo that would much appreciate your support. Support genuine hip-hop!
EDIT:
After taking a listen to the entire album, I notice that most of the songs bear the name of someone with a stand-out lifestyle or history. People who've gotten themselves noticed for standing up to shit they believed in.
To be completely honest, it just sounds like Geo got really bored and spent an entire day or 2 on wikipedia getting some ideas of people to write about (reminds me of a time... ) . Maybe not as lyrically satisfying as the older B.S. stuff, but all in it's own it's pieces of history smashed in a song, and for what history is worth it should be damn well satisfying enough.
I guess that's what a scholar is all about. Writing and interpreting someone else' experiences into a form that another person traveling in that path or relative can listen to and debate, learning and maybe finding an answer. Who knows, it's a theory (continued).

Egotastical
Here's something that most of you have plagued my blog with, and as it was pointed out on a GTAForums topic earlier, it doesn't make sense.
One of the biggest arguements that people put up after the Japanese overdose incident, is that my own car mod was shitty / stupid, and that I have a major ego issue because I won't release or share it.
Quote from Exxon(GTA Forums):
Again I say to myself: really? How in the world does not releasing a mod make someone have a large ego? If anything, it only shows how immature the person complaining is. The problem is that this type of thinking is extremely common in both children and adults, and it really irritates me when people think like this. Please people, come on, this doesn't even make sense!
I created my onevia completely from scratch, and it's the project that I've spent the most time on modding / upgrading. It's my own personal car. I released the stock version to a few people I know, but everything else is, respectively, a private mod. It's like watching someone walk around town saying that they are you. Undoubtably annoying.
Quote from SkylineGTRFreak(GTA Forums):
Could you all please appreciate the work people do, regardless if they release it or not?

Why are those Japanese guys so f*cking egoistic?
Can't they just be nice and put a download link WITHOUT PASSWORD on an english IV mod site, a well known site like GtaInside or something

egoistic? why? they work on hard on this and if they dont release it they are egoistic? as long as you cant do it yourself, you shouldnt judge about them

[SDU] Server Progress Update
Alright, sorry that the [SDU] server has been down for so long, but we promise you it's worth the wait. There is a huge, massive redux of the server underway in which I am half-way through creating the entire script from blank. For those who have not heard, the script is to be that of a Roleplay script, mixed largely with a drift script.
At first all I wanted to do was have a very light RP script with extremely basic features mixed in with all the goodies of a drift server, but as I've been developing it, things changed a bit. The server is now planned on being 90% consisting of Roleplay, and 10% of Drift. The goal here is actually have a completely awsome, uber roleplay server in which drifting is NOT the entire focus of the server, but instead a heavily promoted and rewarding career choice for the Roleplayers. In many ways, the server will still be a drift server, but most notably it will be roleplay. IRL, we dream of one day being rich and famous, being a movie star? being a musician? whatever. In the [SDU] RPG-D server, we open up a dream that all of here share, which is becoming a drift champion. No other roleplay server as far as I can remember or know of has the ability to become famous in any way, except if you make the fame from respect. Here, we are going to still give you the freedom to do things the old fashion way, whilst at the same time, giving drift addicts across GTA to have a chance at living the dream.
It's the [SDU]-Drift Championships ofcourse! Based largely upon the Canadian DMCC drift series. In the server, this competition will be plastered on billboards, News advertisements all over the place, and several custom-built racetracks to compete on! Earn up some $$$ doing jobs around the city and collecting your daily paycheque, building interest in the brand new dynamic banking system, or perhaps making a few shady deals in a dark alley. Whatever it may be, you can then enter into the SDU-DC amatuer series by paying a fee, check out the list of people online that you can run against and sending out a challenge request and making your way up the ranks. Up until you claim the title of SA-MP Drift champion! Bathing in the luxeries of Vinewood hills, with your 160 square foot mansion, yacht parked at the beach, sports cars in the driveway..........ya
Or maybe your the more subtle type? Don't want to be the champion? Deliver tofu to peoples houses out in the country while driving your Japanese compact. You should get where I'm going with that...
anyway I hope you guys like the idea, stay on the blog for more update news soon! Server progress is going very well despite it's slowness.
