Long time no posts!
[SDU] was shut down in June due to financial issues with the server hostings, and it was a huge loss for entire SA:MP drifting community, leaving them without a stable place to play for quite some time. In recent months, [SDU]'s financial issues were solved and the administration team has dug up a lot of free time for the future; so yes, there is a very large possibility that [SDU] may be coming back soon.
Me and Vertex talked about it a few nights ago and he said he wouldn't mind paying for the host once more, and I will talk more with him about that. If the server ends up not being payed for, I will continue with running it anyways on my home PC / Server, 24/7 hours now that I've made a few PC upgrades.
Not much will be different from what it was before it went down for the first while. The same SDU script will be used, however you can expect to see many regular updates which will eventually lead to a complete overhaul, bringing in truckloads of new features and aiming at making [SDU] SA:MP's #1 server for all things DR1FT. I will be appointing an administration team upon launch and also looking to assemble new members for [SDU].
You heard correct! [SDU], which is effectively a branch of [TDSD], will be publicly recruiting with application forms and trials, looking for a diverse group of drifters who either have the required skills, or have the potential to learn. This also brings me to announce that one of the many planned major additions to the new [SDU] server will be a drifting school, run by the [SDU] team and administration.
